The goal of our ministry is to empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today. We foster in our students a desire for responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of the Catholic faith community while achieving personal and spiritual growth within themselves.
Our Edge program is for current students in middle school (grades 6-8). These students will meet at 3:30pm on Sundays for Faith Formation. The Edge curriculum is used to grow in these students a better understanding of our Catholic faith and to encourage them to actively participate in their community.

Our High School program is for students (grades 9-12) who are in their first and second year of Confirmation preparation. We meet for class on Sunday evenings at 6:15pm following Mass. These students will focus on how God's Church and her teachings can help them deal with the everyday problems we all face. The goal is to provide them a solid foundation in the faith and the tools needed to help our youth get through high school and beyond.
Parents are encouraged to review the Confirmation guide that is provided during the parent session at the beginning of each year. This guide will contain all of the information regarding Confirmation requirements that our first and second year students must meet in order to receive the sacrament.
For a complete list of scheduled events, parent consent forms, etc., please visit with youth ministry leaders.
If you are a teen who has already received the sacrament, we’d love to have you join our team of high school leaders. If you are interested in learning more about God's word while getting to know other teens better, please join us for fun, fellowship and formation.
Throughout the year, the students will have the opportunity to participate in events that will help them to grow closer to Christ through their Catholic community. Events such as:
- The Diocesan Catholic Youth Conference (DCYC) held in January in Waco brings 1500 teens together to worship and learn about Christ.
- Godstock is typically in the Spring and is just like it sounds, a two-day concert in the wilderness devoted to GOD.
- A variety of service opportunities within the parish and other Diocesan activities throughout the year.
If you are interested in keeping up with the high school students and their activities, like us on Facebook.
We also welcome adults who would like to be members of the Core Team. You must be in compliance with the diocesan EIM policy and have a great desire to share your faith with the students. The Core Team works with the Faith Formation Director to plan the weekly youth group meetings and retreats so that each student can be assured an incredible spiritual, educational, emotional and social experience.
