Join together with families from around the world in prayer. Pray the World Meeting of Families prayer each day with your family for the success of the event, for the Holy Father's safe travels and for your family’s personal intentions.

God and Father of us all, in Jesus, your Son and our Savior, you have made us your sons and daughters in the family of the Church. May your grace and love help our families in every part of the world be united to one another in fidelity to the Gospel.

May the example of the Holy Family, with the aid of your Holy Spirit, guide all families, especially those most troubled, to be homes of communion and prayer and to always seek your truth and live in your love. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Jesus, Mary and Joseph, pray for us!

World Meeting of Families & Papal Visit

The family which experiences the joy of faith communicates it naturally. That family is the salt of the earth and the light of the world; it is the leaven of society. ~Pope Francis, October 27, 2013

Stay in the Know!  There’s always something new happening with the World Meeting of Families – Philadelphia 2015. Sign up for updates and be the first to know critical announcements about the event, and your specific areas of interest.

As the fall meetings in Philadelphia and Rome draw near, the diocesan Office of Evangelization, Catechesis and Family Life is planning a corresponding event, “A Celebration of Families Fully Alive,” for Nov. 14, at a location to be announced in the Austin area. More details will be available in the Catholic Spirit and on the diocesan website.

Texans helping Texans

Hundreds of homes and businesses were damaged or destroyed in floods and tornadoes throughout Central Texas over the Memorial Day weekend. Catholic Charities of Central Texas is assessing and responding to the need across the service area.

Monetary donations will be used to pay for hotels for individuals and families displaced from their homes, ongoing rebuilding for the under-insured, and other needs. Donate online at www.ccctx.org/donate

Volunteers are needed to provide vital help to families affected by the flooding and tornadoes in Central Texas. Volunteer needs can change on a daily basis, so please call to confirm opportunities.

If you are interested in volunteering, contact Martha Jasse at 512-651-6126.

RE Registration is Still Open

Classes begin on September 13 and online registration for religious education is still open! The tuition fees have increased to: $50 for one child, $90 for two and $130 for three or more. Please be aware that a $10 late fee will go into effect next Sunday, September 6. If this is your student's second year in a sacramental class (First Communion or Confirmation) there is an added $15 fee for extra supplies.

If you completed online registration last year, you can access your family's information in Ministry Tracker to add your child(ren), select a class and pay the tuition. You may pay online by clicking on the gift tab or you may stop by the office during the week.

New parishioners or students new to the program may register online using Ministry Tracker or download the registration form. Your registration is not complete until payment is made so don't forget to pay!

Please prayerfully consider sharing your faith with the children and youth of our parish. We are in need of Catechists for our Faith Formation classes!

If you have any questions about the requirements for sacramental preparation, please call Robin Yanez (Grades PK-5) at 512-296-0191, or Melanie Owens (Middle School and High School) at 512-259-3126 x110 (office) or 830-203-0081 (cell).

Stewardship of Treasure:

For parishioners who prefer the convenience of auto bill pay, it’s easy to set up monthly contributions by credit card or an electronic funds transfer. Simply decide on the type of transaction you prefer and download the form to fill out. You can bring the form by the office or place in an envelope and drop it in the collection basket during Mass. For more information about these options, please contact Cindy Perez at 259-3126 ext. 108.

Each family is encouraged to participate in the capital campaign, Continuing Our Mission Expanding the Kingdom. Every sacrifice is welcomed and will make a big difference in helping us meet our financial goals.

This is also a good time to make any updates to your family profile.  Has your phone number changed?  Have you had a recent addition to the family? Please let us know of any recent changes by calling 259-3126 or email your updates to jean@stmargaretmary.com.

A written acknowledgement for contributions made during 2014 have already been mailed. If you did not receive your letter, please call the office to verify that our records are up to date and that we have your correct mailing address.
