Ministries:
Bereavement
Meal Ministry:
Members of the parish are invited
to help prepare and serve a meal in our parish activity center
after a funeral service. This benevolent ministry was started
in 1972 and is devoted to helping families in their time of
need. The ministry meets only as needed to organize and prepare
a meal that can be shared by the grieving family. Molly

Hospitality:
There are no special qualifications
needed for this ministry other than a welcoming smile and
a friendly disposition. Our message is: “Welcome,
we are so glad to have you here today!”
It is so very rewarding to have the opportunity to meet
so many people and be one of the first to greet a new parishioner
or a visitor. Please consider joining this very rewarding
ministry.

Senior
Citizen Social Group:
Senior citizens are cordially
invited to socialize at monthly potluck lunch. In addition
to the social events, seminars on important and timely topics
are coordinated with various agencies. Meetings are held
the third Wednesday of the month in the parish hall. This
is a very popular monthly event and volunteers are needed
to help set up and clean up after the luncheon. Some seniors
need transportation assistance so if you can help with the
carpool effort, that’s another way you can help our
neighbors.

Social
Committee:
The intent of the social committee
is to foster friendship and a sense of community among parishioners.
We work with the Pastoral Council and other organizations
in the parish to plan and put on fun community activities
and events such as Springfest, Fall Fest, a Christmas Dinner,
and the annual Easter Egg Hunt. We sponsor a Kid’s Night
Out every month to give parents a breather while their children
meet other children in the parish. And we coordinate a social
event to welcome new parishioners. This committee is perfect
for those interested in meeting people, building parish community
and working on the lighter side of parish life. Mary
