These studies are aimed to help get started in Bible study. The focus is to learn more about Scripture from each other and through books, videos and audio recordings. Various studies and discussions are organized throughout the year. All adults either from our parish or friends from other parishes are welcome. Any high school student who has completed confirmation is also invited to attend with or without parents. We have had all levels of background in Bible study and the group has benefited from a diversity of backgrounds and knowledge.
Check out our Lighthouse Catholic Media (LCM) rack in the church Narthex for books and other media that can help you deepen your understanding and love for our Catholic faith.
The display is stocked with a variety of media in English and Spanish, offering a wide range of topics related to our lives and our Catholic faith. They feature some of the most inspiring Catholic teachers and speakers--bishops, priests, deacons and eminent Catholic lay men and women. We ask for a donation of $5 for each book (or 3 books for $12) or $4 per all other items (or 3 for $10). The donation requested is kept as low as possible just to cover cost and keep this ministry funded.
Saint Margaret Mary has also paid for a subscription to Formed.org. This amazing site includes various programs, movies, audio and e-books for all ages in both English and Spanish. The site is free to all parishioners. When you go to the site, click on the "Register" button at the bottom of the page and use the parish code (available on the LCM kiosk) to create your own login and password. Once you have done that, you will have unlimited access to the ever growing list of Catholic materials.

Not Fully Initiated? Are you a baptized Catholic age 16 or older, but have not celebrated the Sacrament of 1st Holy Communion or Confirmation? Would you like to learn what’s involved in order for you to celebrate these Sacraments?
Christian initiation is accomplished by the reception of the three sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist. It is designed for adults who after hearing the mystery of Christ proclaimed, consciously and freely seek the living God and enter the way of faith and conversion as the Holy Spirit opens their hearts.
There are several steps to the initiation process:
First period is inquiry and ends with the celebration of the Rite of Acceptance into the Order of the Catechumenate.
Second period begins with instruction in the Catholic faith and ends with the Rite of Election.
Third period is a time for enlightenment and purification and the celebration of the sacraments of initiation.
Fourth period extends through the whole of Easter season and is a time of deepening the Christian experience and for spiritual growth.
Weekly RCIA sessions
are held from late August through Easter on Tuesday evenings
from 7:00 - 9:00. Everyone is welcome to participate - adults wishing to become members of our
faith as well as those who are interested in learning more
about the Catholic faith. For

Rediscovering the Faith
Welcome. Have you been away from the Church? Are you thinking about coming back? Do you know someone who wants to come home to the Catholic Church, but is struggling with their faith? Maybe you or someone you know has experienced one of these thoughts:
I grew up Catholic, but for some reason I just sort of stopped going to Church…
I just moved to a new city, I tried going to a couple different parishes, but I never really felt welcomed...
After my marriage ended, I felt uncomfortable around my family, friends and parish…
I just don't understand why the Church teaches what it does! Some teachings seem so outdated…
I tried to contact my parish about getting married but no one got back to me…
If you have experienced one of these situations or thoughts you are not alone. The Church wants you to know that you are a child of God, called by name, precious in his eyes and loved by him (Is. 43:1,4). The Church also wants you to know that you are missed. When one member of the Body of Christ suffers, the entire Body of the Church suffers.
Whatever your reason for being away, we have missed you and celebrate your desire to take another look.
There are many excellent resources to help you share the truths of Catholicism and we have listed a few sites for sharing, proclaiming, and defending the Faith:
• Check out the web site on evangelization from the U.S. Bishops
• New Advent Catholic Supersite
• The Fellowship of Catholic University Students
• Envoy Magazine’s Web site: free articles on apologetics
• EWTN: great materials, including audio and video tools
• Catholic Answers: free resources on how to explain and defend the Faith
• Catholics United for the Faith: excellent materials on apologetics
To speak with someone about faith formation for adults at this parish, contact Roni Cook or to speak to a member of the clergy, please call the church office (512) 259-3126.
